Directors’ Masterclass with Warren Sonoda
Introducing the Directors' Masterclass with filmmaker Warren P. Sonoda as he delivers a two-day intensive masterclass for emerging and advanced-level directors with an emphasis on practical techniques and tools, meaningful information and themes, and have-to-be-there anecdotal memories.
The workshop will take place Saturday March 4 to Sunday March 5 from 10am to 6pm ET in downtown Toronto (TBD).
Though the workshop is at no cost, we ~highly~ suggest a donation of $50 per selected participant.

2023 Unscripted Producers Lab
The Unscripted Producers Lab is a one-week intensive for emerging producers and aspiring showrunners working in unscripted, factual, and reality TV content production.
Developed in partnership with Bell Media, the Unscripted Producers Lab is an intensive introduction to unscripted, factual and reality series production. Following the lab, participants will be matched with an industry mentor for continued support and career guidance.
For Viola: Dear Jackie & Tallawah Abroad | Hot Docs + MUBI
For Viola, the FREE, community-focused screening series returns to the Hot Docs Cinema on Feb 25 with a pair of films celebrating two historically Black communities, each now threatened by encroaching gentrification: Henri Pardo’s DEAR JACKIE and Sharine Taylor’s TALLAWAH ABROAD.
