Paramount+ in Canada, BIPOC TV & Film, and the National Screen Institute Partner for new ELEVATE program
The new business development initiative will support the growth and stability of BIPOC-owned production companies in Canada. Additional partners include the Canada Media Fund, Telefilm Canada, the Government of Manitoba, the Manitoba Arts Council, and academic partner, The Creative School at Toronto Metropolitan University.

WGC, IATSE strike deal to represent script coordinators
Three years after BIPOC TV & Film circled a petition for the inclusion of script coordinators in the Writers’ Guild of Canada, an agreement was reached between the Guild and IATSE to extend union representation to script coordinators working in Canada.

Meet the 2023 cohort of the Canadian Academy’s Executive Residency Program. This year, the program is matching seven participants with program Advocates for shadowing and observational placements focusing on project development, organizational governance and peer-to-peer mentorship.
